A brass drain valve is used when the pump stops, and you want to drain the water from the pipes. For this to work, you need one standard nozzle without an anti-drop feature on all ends of the line.

Condition for use: a standard nozzle without the anti-drop feature must be fitted at the end of every line.
When the pump stops, the valve drains the water out of the pipes; without that nozzle at each line end it will not do so.
