Arne Jacobsen designed the Paris lounge chair in 1929 for a competition of the Danish basket makers' association. The same year it was shown in the House of the Future in Copenhagen. Until World War II Robert W. made it under the names Fremtidens Stol, Skovsneglen and Paris. The Exterior version is hand-bent in Alu-Rattan and hand-woven with ArtFibre, so it stands up to frost, heavy rain and UV light and works well by the pool.
