Franco Albini and Franca Helg designed the bistro series in the 1950s. The Italian duo were renowned architects of that decade, with many furniture designs and buildings to their name. The frame is handmade from Indonesian rattan and woven with ArtFibre, a maintenance-free polyethylene fibre that withstands UV light. Rattan and ArtFibre together give strength, flexibility and comfort. The pieces are made for indoor use. On a covered terrace they must be able to dry completely after moisture.
Under “Cushion” on this page you can choose a seat cushion and its fabric. The price shown first is without a cushion. The seat cushion is also sold as a separate product: Sika-Design Franco Albini Bistro Exterior seat cushion for chair. In the same collection you also find Sika-Design Franco Albini ottoman and Sika-Design Franco Albini Bistro 2-seater bench.
You find every piece of the collection in Franco Albini and the full range in Indoor furniture.
