Alfonso Gallego (Alicante, 1964) designed the Havana dining armchair. His inspiration was the Caribbean, the streets of Cuba, afternoons with rum, rest and warmth. Contrast is the key to this piece. The lacquered aluminium frame is covered in a weave of Shintotex®, a strong, recyclable fibre developed by Point. The curved shapes fold around you, and black and white give the weave a pattern full of rhythm. Gallego is a designer, decorator and interior designer and has worked with Point for more than twenty years.
