Gabriel Teixidó designed the Kubik collection. The starting point was TechTeak, a material Point developed. It looks very much like teak, needs no maintenance and is highly resistant to impact. Teixidó says the design had two goals: to last outdoors and to offer an ecological option. The properties of the material set the final shape. The collection has clear, straight lines and covers a dining armchair, a bar stool, benches, two lounge chairs, a 2-seater and a 3-seater sofa, a chaise, and dining, coffee and side tables. Gabriel Teixidó (Barcelona, 1947) has worked as an industrial designer for more than three decades. He has won several ADI-FAD and SIDI awards. He is known for austere designs without formal show.
Under “Top size” on this page you choose the top size: 70 x 70 cm, Ø 70 cm, 80 x 80 cm, Ø 80 cm, 90 x 90 cm or Ø 90 cm. Under “Table top” you choose the material: HPL 10 mm (6 colours), porcelain 12 mm (7 colours) or TechTeak 27 mm. If you choose “Without top” in both, you buy the base only. The first price shown is without a top. Pick the colour of an HPL or porcelain top from the top colour chart below and write its code in the order note. Point advises against placing tables with porcelain tops together, as contact or friction can chip the edges. For tables placed together Point recommends HPL tops.
Under “Protective cover” you choose “Without protective cover” or “With protective cover”. The first price shown is without the cover. The cover is beige polyester with an acrylic lacquer and it is waterproof. The cover is cut for the base with its top.
You find every piece of the collection in Kubik and the full Point range in Outdoor furniture.
