The Wicked collection is designed by Brussels-based designer Alain Gilles for Vincent Sheppard. Together, they aimed to reinvent wicker as we know it. The whole design process was all about playing with the construction logics of rattan seats in a contemporary and striking manner. By creating an unexpectedly light and airy shape, Alain Gilles managed to shed new light onto the traditional wicker furniture. By combining the warm wicker material with the sleek metal frame, he aimed to create a dialogue between craftwork on the one hand and industrial processes on the other.
The Wicked collection offers an outdoor as well as an indoor (rattan) range.
The outdoor collection - available in two colours - consists of a lounge chair, a sofa, a coffee table, a side table, a dining chair and a dining table.
The indoor collection consists of a lounge chair and a sofa made out of natural rattan.
Designed by Alain Gilles
The Brussels-based designer Alain Gilles did not follow a standard route. After studying Political Science and Marketing Management he first discovered the ins and outs of the financial world. Still, after a few years, he decided to go down a new path and, with moral support from his wife, to study industrial design in France. Design became his second life.
Maintanance
Our indoor furniture can easily be maintained with a moist towel and some natural soap. Each Vincent Sheppard product is available with nylon or felt glides in order to protect the feet and all types of floor surfaces. Using the correct glides will prevent any damage due to contact between the feet and the ground.
Choose the cushion under “Cushion”. Each cushion option names a fabric group (B, C or G). The group sets the price. The colours of each group are listed at the end of this page. Write the colour you want in the order comment at checkout. The first price you see is without a cushion. The cushion is also sold as a separate product: seat cushion.
