Arne Jacobsen designed the Tobias table in 1935 for the villa of wholesaler Helge Wandel, a house he had designed in the early 1930s. For the same villa he also designed the St Catherine bench. Natural oils protect the wood from rot and insects. In sun and rain it turns a fine silver-grey over time. Sika-Design uses plantation-grown Indonesian teak with the Legal Wood stamp, which ensures sustainable production.
