Rana is a lounge chair by Nanna Ditzel, one of Denmark's most innovative women designers and the designer behind the Hanging Egg. Her experimental, body-based approach to materials led to this three-legged wicker chair. It started a rediscovery of rattan, and after it won international awards, wicker furniture regained its place in interior design. Rana suits the home and holiday cottage. Sika-Design uses carefully selected Indonesian rattan. Unlike hollow bamboo, rattan is solid, so the furniture is strong and lasts for generations. It belongs to the ICONS collection, in which Sika-Design brings back designs by renowned designers in close cooperation with their descendants.
