Michel Buffet designed the Pacifique lounge chair in 1954. Its original name was Relaxation chair, since it invites you to lean back into its big, embracing shape. In 1954 it was made, shown and sold at a festival of French creation organised by Galeries Lafayette in Paris. The original was bought by architect André Wogenscky, assistant to Le Corbusier, for his house in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. It belongs to the ICONS collection, in which Sika-Design brings back designs by renowned designers in close cooperation with their descendants.
