Point Alga round dining table Ø 120 cm
The Alga round dining table has a diameter of 120 cm and stands 75 cm high. Its lacquered aluminium frame is braided with 3 mm Shintotex® Round on the top and 6 mm Shintotex® Flat Oval on the legs. You can add a tempered glass top.

José Pons Pedro, the founder of Point, added the Alga armchair to the first collections in the 1920s. He made the curves of the armrests very rigid so they would not break over time and added the openwork in the backrest to make it look lighter. The chair is woven entirely in the air: it has no structure from the seat upwards. The weave that rises from the seat carries the arms and the top of the back, so only highly skilled craftspeople can make it. Point has made it in wicker, in rattan core for more than 70 years and now in Shintotex® on an aluminium frame. Shintotex® is a strong, recyclable fibre developed by Point. Designer Alfonso Gallego led the latest update. He calls Alga “a piece in the romantic Mediterranean style with its own identity”. Two round dining tables complete the collection.
Alfonso Gallego (Alicante, 1964) is a designer, decorator and interior designer who has worked with Point for more than two decades. His long career in furniture design and his projects around the world have made him an expert in functional pieces and spaces.
