Gabriel Teixidó (Barcelona, 1947) designed the Paralel collection. In his words, wood is a living material that connects well with people and gives warmth. The chairs, armchairs, sofas and tables are robust yet soft. They combine Indonesian teak from carefully managed forests with synthetic rope. A sun lounger, a side table and an extendable table complete the collection. The pieces are made for gardens, terraces and porches and fit easily indoors too. Teixidó calls it a human collection that sits well in natural surroundings.
Teixidó has worked as an industrial designer for more than three decades and has won several awards, among them ADI-FAD and SIDI awards. He is known for austere designs without any showing off. Many of his pieces have become classics that stay clear of passing trends.
