Mario Ruiz (Alicante, 1965) designed the Heritage collection. He started from a close study of Point's history and its best-known designs, above all the hand weaving the brand is famous for. He turned traditional materials and formats into a softer, more modern language. Ruiz says he pictures the craftsmen in Alicante in the 1920s, weaving wicker and making Point's first furniture, and that this is where the brand's soul was born. The seating has an aluminium frame woven with Shintotex®, a tough, stable fibre made for outdoor use. The tables have a frame of grade A teak with FSC® certification. Ruiz is known for clean lines, simplicity and function. He has won more than 50 awards in Europe and the United States, and in 2016 King Felipe VI gave him Spain's National Design Award.
Under “Cushion fabric” on this page you choose the cushion version. You can have no cushions, foam only (no fabric), your own fabric (COM) or a fabric group from G1 to G4. The groups hold 56 fabrics in total: G1 (4 fabrics), G2 (29), G3 (7) and G4 (16). The group sets the price. After you choose the group, write the fabric code from the fabric chart below in the order note. The fabric you choose covers all cushions of the piece. The first price you see is the cheapest option, without cushions. For your own fabric you need 3.1 m. Under “Waterproof liner” you choose whether the cushions get a waterproof liner. The first price shown is without it. You can add the liner once you have chosen cushions.
The weave comes in 16 Ash Grey only, so you do not need to write a colour in the order note. Under “Protective cover” you choose “Without protective cover” or “With protective cover”. The first price shown is without the cover. The cover is beige polyester with an acrylic lacquer and it is waterproof. Point recommends 1 deco cushion 40 x 40 cm for this piece. Under “Deco cushions” you choose “Without deco cushions” or “With the recommended deco cushions”. The deco cushions come in the same fabric as the seat cushions. The fabric code in your order note applies to them too. Their price depends on your choice under “Cushion fabric”. If you choose foam only, the deco cushions are foam only too. You can add deco cushions once you have chosen cushions.
You find every piece of the collection in Heritage and the full Point range in Outdoor furniture.
