Christophe Pillet (Montargis, France, 1959) designed the Summer collection. Its main feature is the woven rope, a tribute to craftsmanship. Pillet says it is a way for Point to reconnect with its roots and its tradition. Summer is a new take on the traditional chair: simple, functional and universal, with added technical precision. The texture of the weave creates the decorative effect. The frame is aluminium woven with rope, in several colours. The collection has a dining chair, a dining armchair, a club lounge chair, a bar stool, a square dining table and two rectangular dining tables. Pillet designs furniture, products and interiors and also works as an architect, set designer and art director. His pieces are in the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the Centre National des Arts Plastiques and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York.
Under “Table top” on this page you choose the top material: HPL or porcelain. The first price you see is for an HPL top. HPL comes in 6 colours, porcelain in 7. Pick the top colour from the top colour chart below and write its code in the order note. Point advises against placing tables with porcelain tops together, as contact or friction can chip the edges. For tables placed together Point recommends HPL tops.
The frame comes in 34 Mineral White or 56 Gunmetal Grey. Pick the frame colour from the colour chart below and write it in the order note. The Signature frame colours (70, 67, 72, 76, 64, 73, 66, 68, 59) are available on request, min. 10 units in one finish. Point states that special conditions apply.
Under “Protective cover” you choose “Without protective cover” or “With protective cover”. The first price shown is without the cover. The cover is beige polyester with an acrylic lacquer and it is waterproof.
You find every piece of the collection in Summer and the full Point range in Outdoor furniture.
