Burda Infracalm is a discreet infrared heater with soft heat. It gives no light and has a slim shape, so you hardly notice it.
Infracalm heats wind-protected balconies, terraces and restaurant patios all year round. It also works for temporary heating of rooms you use now and then, and for spot heating. It warms people and objects directly, not the air.
The casing is grey lacquered aluminium zinc in RAL 7046, the ends grey plastic and the protective grille stainless steel. The reflectors are high-gloss polished aluminium with maximum corrosion resistance. The element reaches up to 750 °C. Infracalm needs no weather protection and has a 5-year corrosion warranty from Frico. There is no risk of current leaks, so the safety cut-out does not trip because of the heater.
Frico rule of thumb for heaters with metal tubular elements: 750 to 1000 W per m² raises the felt temperature by about 10 °C. If the area only has a roof, install at least 1000 W/m². With three walls, 750 W/m² is enough. Comfort is best when the heat comes from at least two directions.
Mount Infracalm horizontally on the ceiling or wall with the adjustable brackets in the box. On a wall you set one of three angles: 0°, 18° or 36°. Do not use the standard brackets to mount it angled on a ceiling, as the distance would then be below the minimum. You can also hang Infracalm on wires. Recommended height: 2 to 2.5 m.
Infracalm is made for a fixed installation by an electrician. The heaters are approved for serial connection.
Outdoors you control Infracalm with the Burda CIRT stepless controller with timer (stepless, ideal for spot and zone heating) or the Burda CBT timer.
Indoors Infracalm is meant for temporary extra heat. The Ecodesign regulation then requires a TPT16 thermostat or a Frico FC control system. In our shop you find the Burda TPT16 electronic thermostat. The 400 V versions also need the RB3 relay box for control with TPT16.
