Burda Relax Glass Dimmer is the Relax Glass infrared heater with a remote control. It runs at 1/3, 2/3 or full power.
Its discreet, stylish design suits elegant outdoor places such as private patios, rooftop lounges and restaurant terraces. It is a shortwave infrared heater: the heat is there the moment you switch it on.
The front is high-resistance SCHOTT NEXTREMA® ceramic glass that reduces the light. You choose white or black glass and a silver or black casing in powder-coated aluminium. Inside is a halogen lamp with a polished aluminium reflector. The filament reaches up to 2100 °C.
With the remote control you choose LOW, MED or HIGH and a timer of 1, 2 or 3 hours. One remote controls several heaters. Point it straight at the receiver from less than 3 m. After 8 hours of non-stop operation the heater goes to standby for safety. The on/off switch sits on the side.
The 1500 and 1800 W versions can be recessed into a suspended ceiling with the Burda Relax Glass frame, in black or silver, ordered separately.
Outdoors the power you need depends a lot on wind, location and use. As a rough guide Frico gives 300 to 500 W/m² for an area with three walls and 500 to 800 W/m² for less protected or open areas. Comfort is best when the heat comes from at least two directions.
Mount the heater horizontally on a wall or ceiling with the two brackets in the box. The 2200 W version is for wall mounting only. You set the angle in fixed positions: 0°, 15° or 30° on a ceiling, 15°, 30° or 45° on a wall. Recommended height: 2 to 3 m. Minimum height from the floor: 1.8 m for 1500 and 1800 W, 2.1 m for 2200 and 3000 W. Keep at least 1 m to surfaces such as table tops. The heater has a 1.8 m cord with plug for an earthed socket.
