About the Gargantua collection

Gargantua was born in 1994 when Dirk Wynants wanted a picnic table where his children could sit at the same eye level as the adults. Named after the giant in Rabelais' 16th century novel who taught his son to enjoy life to the fullest, Gargantua is the original tool for togetherness, built for everyone from the start.

Extremis Gargantua picnic table

Gargantua is a large round picnic table with adjustable bench height for any occasion. It seats 8 as standard, and 12 when the benches are raised to tabletop height. The combination of hardwood and galvanised steel gives it a robust, timeless character.
