Inumbra

Inumbra and Inumbrina are outdoor parasols. Both come with concrete bases, floor fastenings and connections. The Inumbra connection fits the Gargantua and Pantagruel tables.

It is made from high-tech polyester and stainless steel. Dirk Wynants designed the range. We advise you on your choice.

About the Inumbra collection

Inumbra means 'in the shadow' in Latin. This umbrella with no rods, ribs or ropes overhead was designed by Dirk Wynants for Extremis in 2002. It comes in two sizes and pairs with the Gargantua or Pantagruel table without a separate base, opening and closing with a simple handle.

About the Inumbrina collection

The name Inumbrina comes from the Latin 'inumbrare', to shade, with the ending signalling something smaller and more refined. Dirk Wynants designed it for Extremis in 2009. The medium version is hexagonal, while the large version is octagonal and pairs with the Gargantua or Pantagruel table.

Extremis Inumbra parasol

Inumbra means 'in the shadow' in Latin, and that name says everything. This parasol with no rods, ribs or ropes dangling above your head leaves a smooth, floating canvas that withstands winds up to Beaufort 8. You open and close it with a simple handle and spindle, in medium or large size.

Extremis Inumbrina parasol

Inumbrina takes its name from the Latin 'inumbrare', to shade, and the ending signals something smaller and more refined. This lightweight parasol has no rods, ribs or ropes underneath, all the mechanics sit hidden at the top. It opens easily with a pulley and rope, and comes in the hexagonal medium or the octagonal large version.
