Outdoor furniture

Barlow Tyrie has made teak outdoor furniture since 1920. It is an English family business, now in its third generation. It uses first-grade plantation-grown teak, sourced mainly in Indonesia, where government-managed plantations follow sustainable forestry practices. Next to teak, the range also includes stainless steel and aluminium furniture.

Adirondack

Adirondack is a classic American design. It comes from the Adirondack mountains in New York State. The range combines rustic charm with comfort.

Apex

The Apex Extending Table 390 is Barlow Tyrie's largest teak table. Extended, it seats up to 14 people.

Arundel

Arundel is based on one of Barlow Tyrie's original designs from the 1920s. The classic teak dining table extends to seat up to 10 people.

Ascot

Ascot is a traditional collection of folding teak furniture. Its simple design makes it easy to combine with many other Barlow Tyrie collections.

Bermuda

The Bermuda teak chair and table suit a small balcony or terrace. Both come in standard and high dining versions.

Capri

Capri is Barlow Tyrie's classic teak lounger. It comes in several versions. The Base is a static lounger that you can link into a raised platform of any size. The Ultra adds extras for more comfort while you sunbathe.

Chesapeake

The Chesapeake solid teak dining collection includes dining chairs plus rectangular and round tables. The design pairs traditional details, such as rolled armrests and curved table sides, with contemporary touches, such as nylon glides under the tapered legs.

Cocoon

Cocoon is a contemporary collection by the international design house Astheimer. Curved backs, teak legs and hand-wound rope in Chalk make every piece look good from all sides.

Commodore

Commodore improves on the classic transatlantic steamer chair. It won a design award when Barlow Tyrie first made it and has been widely copied since. The fittings are solid brass, cast only for Barlow Tyrie.

Drummond

Drummond has two large round dining tables with heavy tops and turned legs. They take the largest Barlow Tyrie parasols. A lazy Susan is available as an option.

Felsted

Felsted is a traditional medium-weight design. It has curved arms and a shaped seat for comfort.

Glenham

Glenham is an original Barlow Tyrie design of traditional heavy seating in solid teak. It is robust and lasts a long time. The range also has less usual pieces for large gardens and landscaping projects.

Harmony

Harmony is a generous deep seating collection with teak frame accents, Sunbrella Rain® fabric and deep cushions. You arrange the modular units to suit your space. A bridging table with an Italian ceramic top joins the units.

Harmony Club

Harmony Club is a relaxed collection with sleek premium teak frames and smooth-shaped cushions. It hints at mid-20th-century design and still feels contemporary.

Haven

Haven is a modular teak collection with a high backrest for comfort and conversation. Conversation-height tables make relaxed entertaining easy.

Horizon

Horizon is a sleek, contoured and modern design of chair and lounger. You can choose teak frames with Textilene® slings or all-teak versions with strong horizontal lines.

Linear

Linear combines a modern design with generous dimensions. The fine lines of the dining tables echo the architectural style of the range. Mitred corners and finger joints add detail.

London

London is an original Barlow Tyrie design from the 1920s. It has a robust build and a wide flat arm, a good place for a drink or a book. London suits both public spaces and private gardens.

Mission

Mission follows the Arts & Crafts style of the late 19th century. The armchair is well proportioned and very comfortable. Its backrest adjusts to three positions.

Monaco

Monaco is a contemporary design with many slender solid teak parts. The seating has gentle curves and contoured backs and seats.

Monterey

Monterey is Barlow Tyrie's take on mid-century modern design, inspired by Monterey Bay on California's Pacific coast. The collection combines solid plantation teak with Italian high-fired ceramic table tops and all-weather olefin cord in the award-winning seating. Cushions come in Sunbrella® or Sunbrella® Rain fabric.

Newport

Newport is a traditional rocking chair with generous dimensions. It has a contoured seat and backrest, strongly shaped arms and a smooth rocking action.

Rothesay

Rothesay is the heaviest Barlow Tyrie seat. Its generous proportions make a strong statement. It suits large gardens, streets and memorial sites.

Safari

Safari is based on the director's chair. The light, comfortable folding furniture fits in the car for a picnic or a day at the races.

Sissinghurst

The ornate Sissinghurst seat is based on a design by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is a classic of the English garden tradition.

Stirling

The Stirling extending oval dining table uses traditional mortise and tenon joints for strength. The solid underframe keeps it stable and the legs sit back from the edge for more legroom. One person can extend it quickly, even with a parasol in place.

Storage Chests

Barlow Tyrie storage chests are weatherproof. The top and sides are sealed with Sikaflex® polyurethane marine deck sealant. The chests are ventilated and have a brass lock. Gas struts make the lid easy to open and close.

Waveney

Waveney is an award-winning seat design. It has turned front legs, shaped arms and an arched back in a traditional form.

Woodland

The Woodland Screen has a built-in lighting effect and gives your seating area more privacy. The random teak slats with soft rounded edges and the stone-shaped feet are inspired by nature. Andrew Jones and Nathalie de Leval designed it. An optional removable curtain adds privacy and acts as a windbreak.

Zen

Zen dining and occasional tables have Italian ceramic tops. The wide curved or straight pedestal legs are premium teak.

Titan

Titan is a robust rustic teak range with grand dimensions. The teak is laminated and shows wild grain patterns and knots, which give it a farmhouse look. The Titan armchair has a black powder-coated aluminium frame.

Lavenham

Lavenham is a Barlow Tyrie garden seat made of eucalyptus. It takes the Barlow Tyrie 150 cm seat cushion.

Around Dining

Around dining furniture is part of the Around collection. The tables have powder-coated aluminium frames and teak or Italian ceramic tops with gently profiled edges. The dining chairs have a Sunbrella® sling seat and back. Designers Nathalie de Leval and Andrew Jones took their cue from spindle and steam-bent wooden furniture.

Around Deep Seating

Around deep seating has powder-coated aluminium frames with soft shapes, gently curved teak or aluminium arms and well-made cushions. The collection is modular: single, double and triple seats with teak or aluminium arms. Nathalie de Leval and Andrew Jones designed it.

Aura Dining

Aura is a modern, lightweight dining collection. It combines powder-coated aluminium frames with teak table tops with an aluminium inlay. The armchairs have teak armrests and stack for easy storage.

Aura Narrow Dining

Aura Narrow Dining has narrow versions of the Aura tables. They have powder-coated aluminium frames and teak tops with aluminium accents. Aura is a modern, lightweight collection.

Aura High Dining

Aura high dining furniture is aluminium and lightweight, so it is easy to use. The range has seats and tables with tops in teak or aluminium.

Aura Occasional

Aura Occasional completes the Aura Dining collection. It offers contemporary, sleek and comfortable seating. It suits urban spaces and roof terraces.

Outdoor Kitchen

These barbecue and serving units help you prepare food and store utensils outdoors. They combine powder-coated aluminium, premium teak and Italian ceramic for durability and style.

Equinox Dining

Equinox dining tables and chairs have 316 marine-grade stainless steel frames. They come with Textilene® slings or teak in many combinations. The extending table is also available with an Italian high-fired ceramic top. The painted versions have powder-coated frames, Sunbrella® slings and ceramic tops.

Equinox High Dining

Equinox high dining chairs and tables are built like the Equinox dining range: 316 marine-grade stainless steel frames with Textilene® slings or teak. The painted versions have powder-coated frames, Sunbrella® slings and Italian ceramic tops.

Equinox Occasional

Equinox Occasional includes deep seating, low tables and loungers. They complement the Equinox Dining and Equinox High Dining chairs and tables. The painted versions have powder-coated 316 marine-grade frames, Sunbrella® slings and Italian ceramic table tops.

Layout Deep Seating

Layout is a modular deep seating collection with many options. Upholstered backs and arms are separate units that fit on any side of the seats, so you can build sofas, corner sofas, loungers, chairs, ottomans and asymmetric layouts. The frames are 316 marine-grade powder-coated stainless steel in two colours. Andrew Jones and Nathalie de Leval designed it.

Luna

The Luna Lantern combines geometry and unusual styling in powder-coated stainless steel, teak and glass. Carry it to light your way or hang it on its powder-coated stainless steel stand. The reflective centre disc casts shadows and reflections.

Mercury Dining

Mercury dining furniture has 316 marine-grade stainless steel frames. The high-back seating comes with Sunbrella® slings in several colours and a choice of arm finishes. The serving table has a ceramic top and teak drawers and shelves.

Napoli

Napoli parasols give robust shade and are simple to use. Depending on the model they tilt, pivot or close with a telescopic action, so the larger parasols can close over a dining table. The struts are eucalyptus with a matte urethane finish and nickel-plated solid brass fittings, and a storage cover is included. Every parasol needs a base, sold separately, even when it stands through a table.

Parasol bases and accessories

Every Barlow Tyrie parasol needs a base for safety, even when it stands through a table. Bases come as standard, freestanding, floor-fixing or in-ground versions and are sold separately. A blanking cap fills the parasol hole in your table when you use it without a parasol. A reducer ring stops the pole from moving in the table top.

Accessories

Barlow Tyrie security fixings help stop a seat from being taken away. Fixing anchors set in concrete keep a seat in place in public areas. Brass security fasteners hold furniture in place on a solid floor.

Cushions

Barlow Tyrie cushions are made for specific chairs, benches and loungers. Each cushion page lists the products it fits. They come in Sunbrella® or Sunbrella® Rain fabric (waterproof). You choose the colour on the product page.
